You Knew Captain,You Knew!

You knew where to anchor your ship
To thwart the threats of a sinking slip.
You knew how to weather the storm,
Without raising an unwanted alarm.
You knew to express your words, warm
As much to burst out those, full of storm.
You knew that the word 'we' surpassed 'I'
That kept your image ever growing high
You knew your words before your thought
And dressed them daintily to draw your slot.
You knew neatly, many a nook and corner
From where,your grit,you would garner.
You knew how to arrest and accommodate,
Your enemies'spate and your partners'fate.
You knew the status of your State and its soil
And toiled to train your steps never to spoil.
You knew you breathed your language to spill
Sense and hope,to lift the cadre's sagging will.
You knew your purpose of life was only to strive;
The struggle for your tomb,is sure to stay alive.
