Desertion Theories

Some stick to one;but many,to none.
Power and money,make goals ill spun.
Money flows from power's rich chest.
Without power,desertion sounds best.

The shame of rising power,is its ineptitude
In the hands of of those,in adamant attitude;
Their habitual nets are made of coterie wires,
Pulled with a veteran hold to queer quagmires.

Ideology loses its immunity,against the thread
Of defections,similar to diseases widespread.
Where immunity is void,contagion is deployed.
Disciples of ideals,stay dangerously paranoid.

Desertion theories ditch many grand old parties,
With survival stories,sold by the ruling smarties.
