The heckling hug

Hug not,for warmth,a hot burning stove.
Hug not your opponent,to bank on love.
Courtesy demands that you hide a shrug,
Through many a casual or crushing hug.

As a smile can forebode a series of terror,
A hug can decode twitches without tremor.
A sudden hug supersedes the habitual one,
By raising a scene of frenzy, rather than fun.

An ill-timed hug might precipitate a howler,
Like a pointless throw of a promising bowler.
A heckling hug is betrayed by a weird wink,
That lets the charm of the hug go out of sync.

It is a friendly hug that promotes free goodwill.
All other hugs are made, either to bill or to kill.
