{"ஏற்றுக தீபம்;போற்றுக தீபம்;கார்த்திகை தீபம்".}

Socially Yours!

Society is like a set top box from where,

Views and ideas transmit'without cables'.

Opinions shared and stapled to most minds,

Over a period of time, stay as facts and finds.

Beliefs as bats, keep hanging upon minds

Built like sandy walls,structurally shaky;

Like sand absorbing water in silent mode,

Mind absorbs,not generates ideas,to board.

Society has its buffer stock of ideas and norms,

Raised through ageless artificial insemination,

Or through automated,surrogate outsourcing.

In a world of selfies, the self dissipates into nothing.

Individuality is a bulk of booming collectivity.

If the body is just a mock medley of ocean and rock,

The mind is a fossil stuff, flowing ideas freely as oil,

With its volatile wield, never cherishing a solid soil.

Society tunes our minds to its gated, composed notes.

Hanging bats, should hang to ideas, that society dotes.

Stern minds may not either sell or buy social flavours.

But if society begets life,it is good to be'socially yours'.

Festival of Lights.{HAPPY DIWALI}

Set all the lights on.
Between the oil lamps
And the electric lights,
There is a drive, stuck as hope.
Energy is an endearing inside.
What is invisible,is what is invincible.
The sparks and the sounds of streets,
Reflect the spirit of the homes,
Sending flashes of faith to the skies.
Lights display the fall of fouling evil.
The crates of sweets and crackers,
Create crystals of carnival glory.
Celebration is more than a sensation.
The crux of it,is in the goodness of things
Glued to the guarding glow of God,
Who builds a world of light,on a blight.

Wear and Tear

Love is viewed as a vehicle of wear and tear;

Too much driven or drained, stops somewhere.

A slight hitch is seen as,more than a ditch,

And sworn in the name of love-lorn love,

Not to love anymore, anytime,in one's life.

Relations remain as steel,or at times,as its rust.

Friends who leave, stay saved in memory,

As a pageantry of precious prints of the past.

'Touch and go'types always touch and go;

But not with love,as love is a game set on rules.

To blame the used road, for a rickety vehicle,

Or a brand new vehicle, for a battered road,

Is the itch of an ill drive,to hit the honey bee hive.

It is a game rule violation, left to the referee's realm.

One can break one's fast,but not love that should last;

Wear and tear shall not apply to closer minds, well cast.

P. Chandrasekaran.

Sense of Belonging

Is sense of belonging,

Like the pages in a book,

Or the waters in a brook?

Does a virus belong to a pandemic,

Or a pandemic to the people, sick?

Is sense of belonging an entry ticket

For a bunch of currency to a wallet,

Or a roll of ravishing food,to the gullet?

Is it a load of thought of the mind,

Or a horde of people to one's behind?

Is it just an embrio of the womb,

Or a coffin's corpse in a tomb?

Do smiles belong to their lips,

Or tears to the eyes,on their slips?

Born of someone,wedding someone,

Begetting someone,Befriending someone,

Are all clusters, like a rainbow in the sky,

Looking grand for a while,to bid goodbye.

Belonging is like the milk in a cow's udder,

Flowing as ocean white, under Time's rudder.

Belonging is benefiting, with an expiry date,

As one follows the other,in a'Belong'template.
