Where do we fail?

Monday to Sunday

Mind makes its myriad marches,

Cutting across credits and debits.

Though positives are a passion, 

Negatives navigate through the nerves.

Where do we fail, 

Nobody knows.

And nobody asks.

Because nobody is ready 

To own when, where and how 

They went wrong.

Introspection also insults one's ego.

Nobody wants their self-esteem to forego.

Where do we fail?

Is it forgetting to call up the committed,

Or failing to share food with the buffeted?

Is it anger unbridled,

Or hunger of others unfed?

Is it words that hurt rather than heal,

Or herds that go on a rampage in social media,

Against those who hold different ideologies?

The pride of a slap thrashed,ruins

The side of inner warmth that one can hold.

The arrogance of power plays its awkward games,

That pushes others' fitness into flames.

The failure to read other's mind

Is the biggest failure of all.

Where do we fail?

In our conjugal credibility or compatibility?

In our parental parameters or filial devotion?

In our sibling intimacy or friendly fraternity? 

In social hobnobs or jobs?

Do we shirk,lurk and jerk to fail in work?

Failures happen to perfect oneself;

But perfect failures never look for reform,

By betraying the body,or stifling the soul.

Some think fallibly,that they never fail,

While some curse their failings full.

If we fail as individuals, 

It is a ruin,sometimes reversible.

If we fail as humanity,

The fall is failure in its finality.
