Love need not be a prologue to marriage,
Nor need marriage be an epilogue to Love.
If marriage is a monotonous monologue,
Either the husband or the wife who leads,
Becomes the one side marital apologue.
In case marriage is a disputing dialogue,
It excels in a show of mighty martial arts,
Skilled in the use of words and utensils.
Asides and soliloquies,actually amplify
The unsaid and unheard airs of the mind.
Suppose the characters are more in number,
In laws invade,as nuisance integral parts,
Or intrigue characters of the marriage drama.
If man and wife are always Romeo and Juliet,
The drama of marriage is romantically well cast.
If,Othello and Lady Macbeth,it is staged aghast.
