Monsoon Maladies

A march of monstrous clouds invaded the sky,
Like a crash of rhinos,to reign and rain.
It thundered like the uproar of Diwali crackers,
Succeeding a line of loveless flash of lightnings.

It rained in a raucous blow,as a colony of bats,
Letting the downpour,lock the streets.
Soon waters rushed into houses and shops,
Like a sudden surge of Income Tax raids.

Frogs and reptiles found their fierce, field days,
Like petty thieves parading during festival times.
Crazy cameras catapulted coverage of catastrophes,
With tongs of tongues, pulling loopholes in a row.

Troughs and depressions are the monsoon couples,
Begetting or aborting their scheduled seasonal yields.
Man wails over the monsoon maladies and his chores,
Betraying his laid back lifestyle, sleeping over bedsores.
