Valentine Yardsticks.

           {Greetings to all Lovers on the Earth}

Love with a large heart,
To the size of an elephant.
Love like a rabbit,running after
Your heart throb,never meant for a halt.
Love like a crab,gripping your thoughts,
Drawing dreamy,delightful lines,
As the crab does on the sand.
Love like a deer with gentle moves,dear.
Love like a cuckoo singing sweet melodies.
Love like a horse never tending to lose its race;
Love like a honey bee with sweetness
Succulent,supplicating the other soul.

Love not with a shrunken heart,
Like a fox or wolf,keeping a hidden agenda.
Love not like a turtle,that knows no speed,
Nor hold,to strive and sustain the momentum.
Love not,singing melancholy songs like a dove
Or Nightingale,reputed for their romantic rues.
Love not like a tiger whose ferocity kills
The valentine valour of the will,to woo and win.
Love not in lightning speed,that razes down
The race course,stalling all future runs.
Love not,spilling the honeyed moments of love,
On your ego's logo,boiling passions on a stove.
P. Chandrasekaran.
