Who knows religion,
Knows God at close quarters?
Who says,knows God,
Knows religion deep and down?
Shams have no shames.
But shames flow as streams
Washing away floating faith,
Like dry flowers drawn from
Statues of Gods washed before,
For adorning flowers when fresh.
The flesh of politics in its orgies
Has frozen God,religion and faith,
To chill the spirit of man cold struck.
Places of worship are renovated
With the colourful canvas of religion,
To cover heaps of human failures.
When rivers are heavy, with floating corpses,
Man parades the glory of his religion,
To appease those waiting to make the rivers
Heavier than before,by their corporeal connect.
Today leaders are strong not because they lead
But because thay can mesmerise minds,
With loud exhortations flooded with emptiness.
Sermons full of shams and shames of void
Shut down mind's might for reflection.
Alternative thinking amply goes for the asking
Because one answer attracts multiple questions.
All is one in a land, where many is a misnomer.
Where plurality is perversion,ONE is mighty
Throwing the Almighty into shams and shames.
P.Chandrasekaran.
