சேர்க்கை

பூவுடன் சேர்ந்திடும் நார் மணந்தாலும், 
கருவாட்டுக் கூடையில் பூமணப்ப தில்லை; 
நாவினில் உதித்திடும் நற்சொற்கள் கூட, 
தெருக்கூடிய சண்டையில் தந்திடும் தொல்லை. 

கூவிடும் குயிலுடன் குதிரையும் கனைக்கையில்,
யாருடன் இணையுமோ இசையணியும் வில்லை. தாவிடும் குரங்கென தாழ்ந்திடும் அரசியல்,
தேர்தலின் பாதையில் மாற்றிடும் எல்லை. 

தூவிடும் மழைத்துளி விழுந்திடும் மண்ணில்,
மார்பினில் சிலிர்ப்பென மறுகுதல் தென்படும். 
பாவியின் கரங்களை புண்ணியம் பற்றிட, 
பரந்ததோர் பாவமும் புண்ணிய மணம்பெறும்.

சேவலின் கூவலில் விடிந்திடும் காலைகள், 
சேர்த்திடும் நன்மைகள் தீதினைத் தள்ளியே! 
மேவிடும் மாண்புகள் மேன்மக்கள் சேர்க்கையே.
பாரினில் நன்மைகள் படிவதும் இயற்கையே.

Umbrellas

When people run helter-skelter in search of a shelter,
The rain in torrents,mocks at the rough and tumble.
Forget the rush,but feel the goodness of being together.
As reels of laughter raise the umbrella against tough tears,
Closeness becomes a thick umbrella against crooked enemies.
Love turns into a barrel of hope,keeping hearts cool and breezy,
To quell the summer of hatred,boiling in the heat of hostility.
Faith is a cluster of umbrellas,against the downpour of despair.


Failure is an umbrella against the strokes of victory's empires,
That crudely invade the victory stand,secured by the umpires.
Patience is the prime umbrella to withstand the wiles of power,
Surpassing defeat with smiles,blossoming as a fragrant flower.
The shades of an umbrella like those of a tree,spread to protect, 
With the bonding of blood,never withering from its firm connect.
Stretch not your arms to swipe your rivals without love and grace.
Stretch all arms together to form a big umbrella,to save the space.

வெளுக்குமோ கிழக்கு !

வெளுக்குமோ கிழக்கு வெளியேற்ற அழுக்கு ?
வெளுத்தது பாலென நினைப்போர் தமக்கு,
பளிச்செனப் படுமோ பாவிகள் படலம்?
ஒளித்தது எல்லாம் ஒருநாள் வெளிவர,
வெளிச்சத் தீயினில் வேடங்கள் மாயும்.
இளித்திடும் பொய்யரின் ஈனக் கறைகளை துளிர்த்திடும் தூய்மை துவைத்தே கரைக்கும் . 
உளிகள் மட்டுமே சிற்பங்க ளாகுமோ?
சுளுவுடன் செதுக்கிடும் சிற்பங்க ளூடே, 
ஒளியுடன் காண்பது ஓங்கிய கரமே!
தெளிவுறும் அறிவென தெறித்தநல் சூரியன் , 
அளவிலா அதிர்வுடன் கதிர்களாய்த் தோன்றி,
கிளைகளாய் அடர்ந்த குழப்பம் களைந்து, 
சளைக்கா முயற்சிகள் சான்றுக ளாக்கும்.
விளையும் பயிர்கள்,விதைகளின் வீறுடன்,
அளித்திடும் நன்மைகள்,ஆதவன் கணக்கே!

The Loosening Grip

I learnt to walk as a toddler,
Walking under the grip of Time.
When I began to walk faster,
I was called a daring youth,
Running ahead of the race of Time;
But soon Time was seen overtaking me,
Mocking my age,running short of Time.
I stood before my mind,a mirror's mime.

My mind showed a bunch of sagging muscles, 
As a mark of the loosening grip of Time;
Not willing to take me anymore on his run,
Time was perhaps jettisoning the load unwanted.

All is a load that fails to board by itself;
Bad loads are worse than bad loans.
Grip shedding is of course a gain either way,
For the one who holds and the other,held.

Each one's grip is a scheduled mission,
Until it turns into a burdening fission.
A toddler tucked to his mother's shoulder.
Has to be unloaded if he is found to be a boulder.
The grip is meant both,to govern and to guard.
But to govern more than guard,is an act of fraud.
A tightened grip targets the victim with frozen force;
A loosened grip,makes both ends meet their resource.

It is time's design that warns the earth,of its load,
So as to labour the lot,or lighten the large episode.

பொங்குவது பொங்கும்!

                        {இனிய பொங்கல் நல்வாழ்த்துக்கள்}

புயலும் மழையும் கொடுமையில் பொங்கிடின் ,
வயலும் பயிரும் பொறுமையில் பொங்கும்;
வயிற்றுப் பசியும் வறுமையும் பொங்கிடின் ,
அயரா உழைப்பு அதிர்வுடன் பொங்கும்;
இயலாக் கனவுகள் இதமாய்ப் பொங்கிடின்  ,
துயிலாக் கடமைகள் துணிவுடன் பொங்கும்.

நயம்படப் பொங்கிடும் நல்வழிச் சிந்தனை,
வியத்தகு வினையாய் விரைவினில் பொங்கும்;
கயல்விழிக் கனவுகள் காதலில் பொங்கிடின்
மயங்கிடும் மகிழ்ச்சிகள் மனதினில் பொங்கும்;
சுயநலம் களைந்து சுற்றமுடன் பொங்கிடின், 
தயங்கிய உறவுகள் திரண்டெழப் பொங்கும்! 

செயற்கை மனிதரின் பொய்முகப் பொங்கலால் 
இயற்கையின் சீற்றம் பொங்கிப் பாய்ந்திட,
முயற்சியில்  பொங்குதல் முப்போகப் பயிராம்; 
துயரிடைத் தோன்றிடும் துணிச்சலின் பொங்கலில், 
பெயர்ந்ததோர் மண்ணில்,பெரும்பயிர் பொங்கிடும் ,
வியர்வையின் வீரமே,தைத்திங்கள் பொங்கலாம்!

Voice of India

My people are basically good,
Even if they have to go without food;
They keep enduring burdens in a spate,
Accepting things as a corollary of fate.
They are free to spit and spite as they wish,
Using roads,as rest rooms,as bins for rubbish.

I got my freedom to let them live as they like,
Not bothering about issues growing on a hike.
My people have freedom to work,or work not,
Because freebies reach them fast at their spot.
As the rich run away with their ill gotten money,
Bad debts and N P A s,hit a chase and run,funny.

The aliens who ruled,left me with their cakes and ale,
Letting me reel under the turbulence of rift and wail.
When all my children cried in unison for my liberty,
My pride grew manifold for begetting heirs of dignity.  
When my own sons drain my blood,cutting wounds deep,
My burning womb curses them all,for their morals asleep.

திருவாரூரான்

எங்கள் ஊர்,
தமிழை வென்றவன் தரிசித்த ஊர்; 
தமிழ் வென்றவனை தரிசித்த ஊர். 
மத்தப் பதினெட்டும் 
பதினெண் "கீழ்" கணக்காம்! 
பரங்குன்றமோ 
பரணியின் மேலாம்! 
மொத்தமாய் மோதிப்பார்க்க 
மனமின்றிப் போக, 
ஒத்தையாய் என்னுடன் 
மொத்தமாய் மோதுவரோ?
எத்தனை துயர்கண்டோம் 
சத்தமாய்ப் புயல்தாக்க! 
சுத்தமாய்  இழந்து நின்றும்,
மெத்தனமாய் இருந்துவிட்டீர்!  
என் மாநில மக்களே, 
பொங்கலுக்கு உங்களுக்கு ஆயிரம்.
எங்களுக்கோ,
பொங்கலும் வெறும் துயரம்.  
நடத்தை விதி என்று 
நலிந்துக் காய்கிறோம். 
மொத்தமாய்த் தருவரோ,
வாக்குச் சீட்டை அடகுவைக்க! 
ஒத்தையாய் நின்றாலும்,
உரமோடு நிற்கிறோம். 
ஏனென்றால் எங்கள் ஊர்,
தமிழை வென்றவன் தரிசித்த ஊர்!
தமிழ் வென்றவனை தரிசித்த ஊர்!.
