   Short and Sweet.

  Nothing here, claims a longer duration.
 "Time is running short" people say.
  Short sayings add pep everywhere;
 The monsoon is quite often short.
 The soil goes in for short term crops,
 A majority look for short term gains.
 People shudder at long term contracts.
 Even marriages ask for a make shift.
 Crash programs are the choice of academia.
 Trendy short films tend to steal the show.
 Who wants longer texts for a reading?
"Less said the better"is a leading maxim,
 But when it comes to one's life span
 The cliche is 'God bless you with a long life'.
 Yet, the long and the short of it is,
 Short and sweet,fills the bill for the long life.
