துச்சமென நினைப்போரை
வச்சக்குறி வார்த்திடவும்,
குச்சியினை குழலாக்கி
அச்சுதனாய் அறம்போற்றி,
மச்சாவதாரம் கண்ட
அச்சமில்லா அனந்தனை,
பிச்சகப்பூ மாலையிட்டு,
இச்சகம் இயம்பாமல்,
மிச்சமின்றி வழிபடுவோம்.!
மெச்சிடும் மெய்ஞானம்

An insensitive leader, a thoughtless mob and a tethered police force,could be called the trinity that consumed the lives of forty-one people in the political road show of the fledgling TVK political outfit.An insensitive leader because of his ill mannered challenges during his brief speeches arousing emotions, his instant disappearance from the scene of tragedy,and his video address 68 hours after the fatal event, with more challenge to the Chief minister than remorse for the tragedy.
Political leaders can emerge from any section of society including the tinsel world. But who emerges, what kind of political mindset he has,and what are the distinct features of the political front that one embarks upon, constitute the sustainability of the political formulation.
Thoughtless crowd, because of its matchless unruly movement,breaking light roof tops, jumping on tree tops,and rushing even to generator spots,as shown in video clippings. Tethered cop because they were overpowered by a careless crowd and probably cautioned by the government,not to resort to detrimental handling of crowd moves, and precipitate the course of events.
A political party should be born in the interest of people and society, to generate newer,positive aspirations, besides fulfilling existing expectations. No party can blossom with the sheer stench of unseating a rival,or occupying the seat of governance purely to enjoy power.
Any person with an entrepreneurial mind frame would naturally give priority to the primary objectives of their proposed enterprise in its genesis, and the foremost programme of action before triggering their mission to move on.A political party needs both a vertical and horizontal structure. Vertical in the sense that it is like a ladder with several rungs from top to bottom.
Horizontal in the sense that from every rung of the ladder the persons in charge of the rung, keep an eye on widening their vision from the ladder's respective stand point, for the management of the horizontal space occupied by the members of the party.This is how the political management of policies, issues,and members of most political parties have been carried on in Tamil Nadu, since the independence of India.
The biggest question to be placed before the TVK in this regard is, whether it has such a vertical and horizontal structure. If it says 'yes',then such a gory tragedy claiming so many lives,through a mere crowd pulling orgy, would never have happened.Crowd collection,crowd control and crowd management are the three fundamental factors of the inclusive body of any political party.Without this,only chaos will prevail and casualties will happen.If any political party fails to realise this,it will fail in its very formation and sooner or later,find its doomsday.
Just as the trinity that caused the massive tragedy in Karur,the aftermath of the tragedy is also shrouded in a kind of trinity.
1)Like a newborn baby aspiring to become an adult,by skipping adolescence and teenage,an untested political outfit straightaway dreams to reach the reigns of power,shunning ideologies policies and programmes, just raising the forefinger with fancied utterances towards a frenzied mob.This agressive launch,with mere self aggrandizement ignited by film popularity and fan craze, is highly symptomatic of dangerous consequences.
2) A seven decade old party, bullied from several quarters purely based on ideological rivalry in the form of insinuation intimidation and financial injustice, is weighing the pros and cons of the Karur event so as to avoid any undue damage to its regime.
3) An ambitious alliance group without many takers,is aggressively waiting for any situation that would give it an opportunity to strengthen its roots for electoral battle, and unseat the present government, by grasping any event that comes to its convenience.
It is this trinity after the Karur tragedy,that is playing a game of chess.That the present ruling dispensation has done its utmost justice to the victims of the tragedy is well known to all.The crux of the whole issue is that the people are as much important as any political party, even if the fact, that the people are more important than mere political propaganda,is ignored by the parties concerned.
