'Breathes there a man who to himself
Hath not said', I am a true Indian?
True Indian exists not in mere grades
His is the base, since the colonial decades.
But today, Indians are Hindus, Muslims,
Christians and Sikhs, cracking their bonds.
Websites raise waves, overeating shores,
Calling each other names, in abusive roars.
Words are more clouded than the skies.
Events are shrouded by conspiracy clothes.
People are touted to buy falsehood as truth.
When proof is sought, Bonafide is under sleuth.
"Are you a true Indian?" is a question with a stench.
The soul of a true Indian, is clung to the soil's clench.
P. Chandrasekaran.
