Being dead is being said,
As someone good, or bad.
Being dead is being grieved,
For the loss of a person,or their perks.
Being dead is being relieved,
Of a life bed-ridden,with its pains hidden.
Being dead is being cursed,
For the absence of a will over its wealth.
Being dead is being rejoiced,
Over a burden unloaded, for the burdened.
Being dead is being suppressed,
To unfold the truth for the cause of death.
Being dead is being remembered,
Either personally, or collectively,
Through in memoriam talks, and visits,
To the memorial spots, or ritual slots.
Being dead is being bound,
To the soil or flames, for the last remains
To be out of sight, with no slight.
Being dead is being preferred,
For organs that let others live.
Being dead is being driven to dread,
Ghosts grinding,their unfulfilled desires.
Being dead is being marked in the account books,
Of the Lord of Death, who feels not about
Who is dead, or what is dead, as per his ledger.
Being dead is buying a void, for a vainglorious life.
P. Chandrasekaran.
